Season-long Volunteer Positions
The Kangaroos need parent volunteers outside of meet days too. Contact the team Rep to help with any of the season long swim team tasks outlined below.
Kangaroo Kafe Manager –
The Kangaroo Kafe Manager is in charge of shopping for the Kafe for all home meets, managing the Kafe during the meets, and directing Kangaroo Kafe Assistants. This includes making sure the Kafe is set up per health code standards and balancing the cash box after each meet. If possible, we will split this job into a two family job.
Fundraising Lead –
The Fundraising Lead is in charge of setting up fundraising events for the season. This includes, but is not limited to, ‘RooBay silent auction and dine outs.
Team Spirit Lead –
Our Pep Rallies (team spirit activities) take place approximately once per week. The Pep Rally Planner is in charge of planning and shopping for pep-rallies and overseeing pep rally activities. This person should work with Coaches and older swimmers to plan themes and activities for the whole season.
Award Ceremony Organizer –
The Award Ceremony Organizer is in charge of planning the Award Ceremony and helping with preparations (paper plate awards, decorations, etc.).
T-Shirt Coordinator -
The T-Shirt Coordinator is in charge of pick up and distribution of the team merchandise and Division t-shirt. If the Kangaroos get to design the Division T-shirt, then the T-Shirt Coordinator will be in charge of design also. This person will work closely with the team Rep for details and to set up purchasing online.
Automation Lead – Noam Parness
The Automation Lead serves as the Computer Operator or Computer Operator Assistant at all meets (both home and away). In addition, the Automation Lead prepares for each home meet by importing swimmer lineup data, printing the swimmer heat sheets, meet program, and other useful reports AND after the meet, posts meet results on the website. MSCL training is helpful for this position.
Bulletin Board -
The Bulletin Board & Divisionals Kangaroos on Sticks Organizer will decorate and update the Bulletin Board at the pool as needed. In addition, the Organizer will create the Kangaroos on Sticks for Divisionals.
